Personal design
If you would like to have your own design painted on a tile or tableau, this is definitly an option. What we need from you is a good-quality image. This may be a black and white photograph or a picture from a book. We will then discuss with you wich colors you want applied and which base color to choose. Also of course which tile size needs to be used. You can choose between 10 x 10 and 13 x 13 cm.
Choose your color
The designs are painted in glazes. Classic color choices are yellow, dark red, blue, delft green and antique green. If the picture is finished in these colors, we call it a polychrome picture.
Designs can also be painted exclusively in blue or purple glaze.
The purple color is also known as manganese or sepia.
Family or city coat of arms
In painting a famiy coat of arms or a city coat of arms, we are limited by the choice of colors. For 'gold' we use the yellow glaze, for 'silver' we use a different color solution. We can tell you everything you want to know about glazes to be used.
What we need:
- Size of tablea(s), size of tile(s)
- A good and clear image
- Definition of the base color of the tiles (white, grey, cream, etc.)
- Definition of the color or colors to be used in the painting.
- Information on the use of the tableau(s) or tile(s): part of a tiled wall or attached to wooden panel.
- Number of whites, if needed.
- number of border tiles, if needed
